Intensive In-Home Service

The Intensive In-Home Service provides comprehensive therapeutic services to adolescents and families with complex mental health needs in the context of their own homes.

Our skilled team will work with the most challenging situations and with all members of the family to keep families together and prevent family breakdown. Youth therefore are protected from the sense of abandonment and rejection that is often associated with out-of-home treatment programs.

The objectives of the Intensive In-Home Service are:

  • To support families and promote positive outcomes for adolescents with emotional and behavioural disorders by providing a range of high quality services, including assessment, consultation and treatment planning, family, individual and group therapy.
  • To provide specialized group programs for adolescents and parents in response to the changing needs of the community.

We are committed to supporting positive changes and behavioural gains that are applicable and lasting to the family’s daily experience.

If you are a youth, up to 18 years of age, or their parent or guardian, you can submit a referral for yourself or on behalf of someone else for intensive services (day treatment, live-in treatment or intensive in home treatment) to Help Ahead.
