How the George Hull Centre is responding to COVID-19

The health and safety of clients, staff members and visitors are a priority at the George Hull Centre. The Centre is committed to taking every reasonable precaution to ensure the protection of our clients, staff members, placement students, and visitors from the health hazard of COVID-19.

Many of our programs and services have returned to in-person services. If you have any questions, please contact your clinician or program staff, or refer to the program page under Services for more information.

How we are keeping our clients safe

The following procedures have been put in place:

  • Our staff are required to complete a self-screen before coming into the office and will not come in if sick.
  • Masks are required to be worn at all times, regardless of vaccination status.
  • Plexi-glass barriers are in place and available in common areas. We are also regularly disinfecting common areas throughout the day, particularly areas such as restrooms, seating areas, and high-frequency touchpoints throughout the Centre.
  • Hand sanitizer dispensers are available at entrances and in common areas.
  • We are encouraging physical distancing practices and have implemented maximum occupancy limits in our program areas.

How you can keep safe

Please review and practice the following guidelines to ensure you are protecting yourself and others:

  • Complete a self-screen 24 hours before your appointment visit.
  • If you are not feeling well, let your clinician or program staff know. Stay home and self-isolate even with minor symptoms such as cough, headache, or mild fever until you recover.
  • Masks are required at all times in the Centre for anyone over the age of six.
  • Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand sanitizer or wash them with soap and water.
  • Maintain at least 6 feet (2 metres) distance between yourself and others.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, which can transfer viruses from your hands.
