COVID-19

The health and safety of clients, staff members and visitors are a priority at the George Hull Centre. The Centre is committed to taking every reasonable precaution to ensure the protection of our clients, staff members, placement students, and visitors from the health hazard of COVID-19.

How we are keeping our clients safe

The following procedures have been put in place:

  • Our staff are required to complete a self screen before coming into the office.
  • Employees with a fever or cold and flu-like symptoms such as a cough, sore throat, runny nose, or body aches are required to stay home.
  • Staff are no longer required to where masks, with the exception of a few programs (i.e., live-in treatment).
  • Plexi-glass barriers are in place and available in common areas. We are also regularly disinfecting common areas.
  • Hand sanitizer dispensers are available at entrances and in common areas.

A Vaccination Policy has been implemented. Unvaccinated staff are required to undergo frequent antigen testing and to submit results to our Human Resources department.

How you can keep safe

Please review and practice the following guidelines to ensure you are protecting yourself and others:

  • Submit a pre-screen 24 hours before your appointment visit.
  • If you are not feeling well, let your clinician know. Stay home and self-isolate even with minor symptoms such as cough, headache, or mild fever until you recover.
  • Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand sanitizer or wash them with soap and water.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, which can transfer viruses from your hands.
